Well, we know we are in the end-times when the United Nations (UN), which is supposed to represent all nations, has allowed a scurrilous display to be exhibited in it's building blaming the Palestinian's plight on Israel. They fail to mention that Israel actually gives them some rights contrary to the camps in Jordan and Lebanon and Syria!  There were hardly no Palestinians in the area until the UN gave Israel the land.  Then the Arabs attacked the new State and in defending itself in 1948, 1967 and 1973 took additional land as a buffer from future attacks!  Of course, the UN coerced by the Arab nations, claims Israel should give the land back!  Can you imagine us giving the southwest back to Mexico even though they lost the war?  Only Israel, the apple of God's eye, is singled out like this!

Well,

It does not appear that the rapture occurred on Rosh Hashanah unless we didn't go but you would think there would have been reports of some people vanishing somewhere?  So the next major feast/festival day is the Feast of Tabernacles which falls on our October 13th or 14th.  It begins with a shout, by the way, and lasts for 7 days!  So maybe or maye not it will occur.  If it doesn't then we will continue on trying to figure out the Lord's Will for us!  With the state of the World's economy we may be nearing the beginning of the last 7 years, known as Trials and Tribulation!  CBNC was actually asking for someone to step forward and go on the air and explain how the world can get out of this!  The Bible says a man will come on the scene some day and have apparent answers for the world's major problems at the time! So, keep looking up!

September 29th and 30th are the 2 days of the start of the new year, for the Jews, Rosh Hashannah!  Several biblical scholars feel a Rosh Hashannah will be a likely time for the Rapture, a snatching away of believers before God begins the Trials and Tribulation, this year or some future year!  Due to it's uniqueness in Jewish Feasts/Festivals because it begins with the 1st sliver of the new moon.  Before the Jews had astronomy and the exact calculation of this day, 2 priests (witnesses) were assigned to watch over a 2 day period for it.  Consequently, it was known as the "hidden" day or the "day no man knew the day or hour!"  Could this be a hint from Jesus' statement on this in Matthew.  Some believe so including me!  With the blood red moons and solar eclipses that occur uniquely on some of these feast/festival days leading up to 2015 mean that the 7-yr. Tribulation period has to start soon!  Stay tuned!!!  Here are some good teachings on this subject:

Well for us prophecy watchers this summer appears to be shaping up to be a prelude to something?  If the Rapture does not happen soon (maybe on a Fall Jewish Feast/Festival Day?) many of us will wonder what else has to fall into place for the Lord's time table to play out!

With the Blood Red Moons and Solar Eclipses scheduled for 2014 and 2015 on Jewish Feast/Festival Days, curiously a little over 7 years from now to the formation on July 13th of the Medeterranean Union plus the increase in intensity of earthquakes, increased solar activity, increase in tornadoes, flooding, famine, new diseases, monetary collapses, etc. all seem to point to a major move on God's time table!!!!!

This could be the final formation of the revived Roman Empire that a future leader will come out of who has evil plans for the world disguised as peaceful!  In this article Olmert of Israel is also quoted as saying his country is as close to peace with the Palestinians as ever!  Also, Syria and Lebanon (Turkey) are patching up their differences - some say Turkey is Togormah in the Ezk. 38 war?

This is all making me "light headed" as in I feel like I am about to float up into the air!!!!!!!!  We have been excited by these kinds of things before and the Lord Tarried!  So, we don't want to be dogmatic or date setters but we are told to watch for the signs of His return.  Curiously, He got on the pharisees (legalistic Jews of the time) about being able to discern the weather but not His return!  What is the world claiming they can predict in today's world but global warming and this is 50 years out or more.  But most people don't have a clue about God's signs playing out for His possible soon return!!!!!

Natural disasters have quadrupled in two decades: study

LONDON (AFP) — More than four times the number of natural disasters are occurring now than did two decades ago, British charity Oxfam said in a study Sunday that largely blamed global warming.

"Oxfam... says that rising green house gas emissions are the major cause of weather-related disasters and must be tackled," the organisation said, adding that the world's poorest people were being hit the hardest.

The world suffered about 120 natural disasters per year in the early 1980s, which compared with the current figure of about 500 per year, according to the report.

"This year we have seen floods in South Asia, across the breadth of Africa and Mexico that have affected more than 250 million people," noted Oxfam director Barbara Stocking.

"This is no freak year. It follows a pattern of more frequent, more erratic, more unpredictable and more extreme weather events that are affecting more people."

She added: "Action is needed now to prepare for more disasters otherwise humanitarian assistance will be overwhelmed and recent advances in human development will go into reverse."

The number of people affected by extreme natural disasters, meanwhile, has surged by almost 70 percent, from 174 million a year between 1985 to 1994, to 254 million people a year between 1995 to 2004, Oxfam said.

Floods and wind-storms have increased from 60 events in 1980 to 240 last year, with flooding itself up six-fold.

This article is written by the secular press but is saying what the Bible says about an increase in natural disasters as we get closer to the Lord's return!  However, it blames these increase in "natural disasters" on global warning. And this may be true but as an engineer with computer modeling skills and having read about some of the climate modeling plus a wealth of other information, I am skeptical of global warming even happening what's more being caused by man! Regardless the world is confirming what the Bible said thousands of years ago! Go here for an alternate viewpoint!

In Luke 21:25, Jesus said:

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;"

 Is the Olivet Discourse protraying flooding?  It is debatable but how do we explain 500 year flooding in the midwest in just 2 decades - 1993 and now?  As an engineer I can tell you that these terms are just statistics.  A 100 year flood frequency means there is only a 1% chance this level of water will occur in any year, whereas, a 500 year means a 0.2% chance of happening in any year.  The point is the chance is extremely small!  So, it can be argued that these are unusual times.

Bill Koenig believes there is a connection between our pressuring of Israel (the apple of God's Eye) and clamatic events in the US:

"Inside the White House - An unbelievable nine-days of news since Olmert’s White House visit....Mississippi River flood could be worst than the historic flood of the summer of 1993, which coincided with the Oslo peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians...US on pace for record number of tornadoes, record heat, record oil prices, record corn and wheat prices, and record earthquake swarms...."

I tend to agree with his views but don't want to be dogmatic about it and try to force this view on everything that happens.  God allows these events to happen for varying reasons for both individual and corporate teaching, I believe!

Regardless, I feel it is all part of the end of end times scenario playing itself out like "birth pangs" of child birth, which eventually become more frequent and more intense as the event nears!

Look Up because your redemption draweth nigh!!!!!!!

"This is a far cry from today's presidents and presidential wannabes, who claim Islam, is peaceful."  But it is a quote from President John Quincy Adams concerning Mohammed in the 1827!  He predicted long ago of the problem we are experiencing today!

Well I am in the process of moving and have not been keeping up with my blog!  But here is an update on the China earthquake which has now suffered a major aftershock!  Here is a link to a sobering video taken by one of the parties as the initial quake was happening!  Be prepared to be shocked and saddened if you watch!

BEICHUAN, China (Reuters) - A strong aftershock jolted southwest China on Sunday killing at least one person and injuring 400 others, state media said, nearly a fortnight after a big earthquake killed tens of thousands in the same area.

More than 70,000 houses were toppled during Sunday's tremor in Qingchuan, Sichuan province, state television reported. The 5.8 magnitude aftershock was epicentered 40 km (25 miles) west-northwest of Guangyuan, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

A local official in Guangyuan county said one person was killed and 24 hurt in collapsed houses or landslides, Xinhua state news agency reported.

Almost all of Qingchuan's houses had been declared unsafe after a devastating earthquake on May 12, and residents had moved into tents on the fringes of town. A mountain slope abutting the town had shown a crack, leading to fears it could smother part of the city in a landslide.

One of Sichuan's worrisome "quake lakes," formed when landslides block a river, is also near the aftershock's epicenter in Hongguang.

As the aftershock occurred, hundreds of troops carrying explosives were trekking to reach another, even larger quake lake that threatened a secondary disaster.

China says up to 5,000 killed in quake in one county (5/12/08)

"BEIJING (Reuters) - An estimated 3,000 to 5,000 people were killed in one county of China's Sichuan province alone after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the region, Xinhua news agency said, citing the local government.

As many as 10,000 in Sichuan's Beichuan county were feared injured, the report said.

The USGS Reporting Agency claims that the numbers of earthquakes are not increasing but due to more monitoring stations it appears that way.  That may be true but as the Olivet Discourse likens the signs to birth pangs of a pregnant woman, as the pangs increase they also become more intense and as such so will earthquakes.  This seems to be the case with the intense earthquakes in 2007 (over 8.0) skyrocketing to 4 vs. an average of 1 per year since 1900.
