Harold Camping Comes Out of Hiding!

Well Camping is acting like a typical engineer, by explaining why something should happen and then when it fails not admitting error but explaining why it didn't happen.  He now says that May 21st was a spiritual happening, shades of the Jehovah's Witness when Jesus didn't return in 1975, who claimed the same thing!  He is still going with the October date, however!  However, he says you're are already saved or not and there is no more reason for his "cult" radio station to warn people!  He says he didn't tell anyone to sell their possessions and will keep his right up to the end because he will need them until then.  He did not comment, apparently, on those who felt led to sell them and advertize for his cult church!  <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110524/ap_on_re_us/us_apocalypse_saturday">Go Here</a> if you want to read more about this false prophet.

No Rapture Today

Well I am going out on a limb and saying there will be no Rapture today.  It is 11:19 am CDT, in Missouri.  This is past 6:00 pm Jerusalem time, which is when the Rapture plus a huge worldwide earthquake would occur per Harold Camping.  Wish it would have happened but did not expect it.

So, keep looking up and doing as the Holy Spirit leads.  I am prone to a Fall Rapture but not predicting a specific year, that will occur on an unfullfilled Feast Day!  Harold Camping is a False Prophet and anyone is stupid to listen to him (stupid is as stupid does, per Gump) unless we know he has truly repented of this sin and humbles himself before the Lord!

The Huffington Post is mocking the whole thing, as to be expected, and a blogger sent in this rapture picture, which is funny:

 

To Correct A Previous Error!

I am posting this because I now realize that I gave Camping credit for the book, "88 Reasons Why The Rapture Will Occur in 1988"!  I will argue that since Harold keyed in on the year 1988 as the start of the Tribulation that he must have written the book.  However, it was written by another false prophet, Edgar C. Whisenant, also an engineer like Camping.  However, he now knows the truth, having died in 2001!  What is it with these engineers, of which I am one, also!  Please, someone slap me if I start naming exact Rapture dates, LOL!  Plan to  be back here on May 22, 2011 naming Harold Camping as a false prophet without a doubt, since I won't have been raptured or the world will not have experienced the worst earthquake ever!

May 21st Doomsday Update!

Well I was wrong!  It is not Camping who sunk his life savings into this but and Ex subway worker!  He sinks $140,000 life savings into campaign advertising the end of the world.

Rapture 5/21/11

Harold Camping is at it again with a new Rapture prediction of 5-21-11  http://www.may21-2011.com/ .  Last time I remembered him predicting this was in 1988 (88 reasons the rapture would occur in 88)!  Now, if I understand his 67 page diatribe, is that that was the year the Great Tribulation started instead.  He arrived at this by taking the 2300 days in Rev. and saying Peter indicated a day is a 1,000 years and backing down to 23 years as the Trib. length.  This gets him to this May and then 150 days more because Noah and family had to stay in the Ark for that many days, ending the earth October 29th of 2011.  My normal reaction to date setters, is "well this is another day we know the Lord will not return on."  Someone claims that he has cashed in his life savings, taking out bill board adds to this affect.  I somehow doubt this?

I would love for him to be correct but I am pretty certain that I will be blogging again after the 21st and not because I was not worthy to go in the Rapture!  Blog to you then!

No one is sure that he actually made such a prediction — his chief biographer is unaware of such a prediction — but regardless, in response, Romans are taking heed and fleeing their city by the thousands.

Working in this rumor's favor is the fact that Bendandi, who also dabbled in astronomy, correctly guessed the approximate date of an earthquake in the Adriatic region in 1923, a feat for which he was later knighted. Will his alleged posthumous prediction come to pass too?"

The article goes on to say that this is more unlikely because there is no known fault line under Rome.  However, Jesus said in the Olivet Discourse https://vaulterjohn.tripod.com/matthew24.htm that in the endtimes earthquakes would also occur in "diverse" (unlikely) places.  So, if this does occur (which I don't expect) it would be another sign?

Latest Earthquake Predictions

According to various sources the combination of events, ie. celestial body (Jupiter, Saturn, Earth, Moon) alignment causing tidal waves on the Sun (sunspots) Earth, low pressure systems (heavy moisture), increased electromagnetic activity, etc., mega-quakes are expected in the Americas, especially the US west coast and the midwest along the New Madrid zone.  Living only about 100 miles NW of the New Madrid, just west of St. Louis, we are a little nervous.  As a Christian, we know God is in control and won't place anymore on us than we can besr and we could be raptured before it gets so bad, too.  Arkansas, which lies on the west side of the fault, has experienced 800 plus small quakes over the last several months and although some credit it to "fracturing" by the gas company, strange deaths of fish have also occurred, sometimes precusors to quakes.  And Purim is starting tonight and for those of you who know the history of God's dealing with Isarael (who Hamas fired 50 mortars at just today) things often happen on their holy days.
