Rapture 5/21/11

Harold Camping is at it again with a new Rapture prediction of 5-21-11  http://www.may21-2011.com/ .  Last time I remembered him predicting this was in 1988 (88 reasons the rapture would occur in 88)!  Now, if I understand his 67 page diatribe, is that that was the year the Great Tribulation started instead.  He arrived at this by taking the 2300 days in Rev. and saying Peter indicated a day is a 1,000 years and backing down to 23 years as the Trib. length.  This gets him to this May and then 150 days more because Noah and family had to stay in the Ark for that many days, ending the earth October 29th of 2011.  My normal reaction to date setters, is "well this is another day we know the Lord will not return on."  Someone claims that he has cashed in his life savings, taking out bill board adds to this affect.  I somehow doubt this?

I would love for him to be correct but I am pretty certain that I will be blogging again after the 21st and not because I was not worthy to go in the Rapture!  Blog to you then!

"According to a rumor that has circulated on the Internet for months, Raffaele Bendandi, an Italian pseudoscientist who died in 1979, predicted before his death that a massive earthquake will strike Rome on Wednesday (May 11). No one is sure that he actually made such a prediction — his chief biographer is unaware of such a prediction — but regardless, in response, Romans are taking heed and fleeing their city by the thousands.

Working in this rumor's favor is the fact that Bendandi, who also dabbled in astronomy, correctly guessed the approximate date of an earthquake in the Adriatic region in 1923, a feat for which he was later knighted. Will his alleged posthumous prediction come to pass too?"

The article goes on to say that this is more unlikely because there is no known fault line under Rome.  However, Jesus said in the Olivet Discourse https://vaulterjohn.tripod.com/matthew24.htm that in the endtimes earthquakes would also occur in "diverse" (unlikely) places.  So, if this does occur (which I don't expect) it would be another sign?

Latest Earthquake Predictions

According to various sources the combination of events, ie. celestial body (Jupiter, Saturn, Earth, Moon) alignment causing tidal waves on the Sun (sunspots) Earth, low pressure systems (heavy moisture), increased electromagnetic activity, etc., mega-quakes are expected in the Americas, especially the US west coast and the midwest along the New Madrid zone.  Living only about 100 miles NW of the New Madrid, just west of St. Louis, we are a little nervous.  As a Christian, we know God is in control and won't place anymore on us than we can besr and we could be raptured before it gets so bad, too.  Arkansas, which lies on the west side of the fault, has experienced 800 plus small quakes over the last several months and although some credit it to "fracturing" by the gas company, strange deaths of fish have also occurred, sometimes precusors to quakes.  And Purim is starting tonight and for those of you who know the history of God's dealing with Isarael (who Hamas fired 50 mortars at just today) things often happen on their holy days.

8.9 quake in NE Japan.  Over 90 after shocks by Friday evening in US with many being between 5 and 6.8.

13-foot (4-meter) tsunami washes away entire towns and causes minor damage in Hawaii and California.

The Japan earthquake was the fourth most powerful ever recorded with a magnitude of 9.1, twice more powerful than the initial estimate of 8.9, Gerard Fryer, geophysicist of the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center, said this morning.

Three others that were more powerful since the late 1800s when seismometers started measuring ground motions were in 9.5 in Chile in 1960, 9.2 in Alaska in 1964 and 9.1 in Sumatra in 2004, according to Fryer.

Growing pressure inside a Japanese nuclear power plant, crippled by today's devastating earthquake, has triggered widespread evacuations and stoked fears of a potentially catastrophic radioactive event.

"Given the large quantity of irradiated nuclear fuel in the pool, the radioactivity release could be worse than the Chernobyl nuclear reactor catastrophe of 25 years ago."

Japanese officials said radiation has not yet leaked from the plant, but ordered 2,800 people living around the facility to evacuate their homes as a precaution.

Japan Donates 32.5 mln USD for PNA Projects (March 3, 2011)

"The agreement is so vital, strategic and important to help the PNA finalize building the institutions of the future Palestinian state," Fayyad said after he signed the agreement.

He noted that since 1993 Japan had aided the PNA with more than 1 billion dollars, including 40 million dollars in developing the Jordan Valley area in the West Bank.

We know Matthew and Luke say earthquakes will increase in magnitude and intensity in the "end times!"  Is that now?  Only God knows?

And even more importantly we can better search for aliens! And of course the military will find all sorts of applications! Also, we can make better robots so we can do less physical work and get even more obese ! 3D movies will improve and so will holographs (image of the beast?)!

Facial Recognition Directed Adds Are Here!

Remember Tom Cruse in "The Minority Report" movie? There were computers embedded in the walls that performed scans of his chip as he walked by. They then produced advertisements directed at him. Well Hollywood is now! China is experimenting with facial recognition software which scans a person's face, making an approximate age determination (within 10 years) and gender and then displays relevant adds and tweaks them based on reaction.
